The Jayhawk Collegiate League, a not for profit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league, was formed in 1976. After the 2018 season the league split up, leading to the absence of the historic league for four seasons. After some realignment, the Jayhawk Collegiate League has re-formed and will continue play as a Premiere League Affiliate of the National Baseball Congress in 2024.
The league is made up of 9 independently owned teams in South Central Kansas playing in Derby, Great Bend, Haysville, Hutchinson, Augusta, Kingman, and Newton and Wichita.
Working together as a league, and not just as individual teams, our goal is to provide a cost effective opportunity for both local and college players from across the United States to come to communities in Kansas and play summer baseball. But not only do we want them to become better baseball players over the summer, we would like them to become better young men as well. We feel there is not a better place than Kansas to accomplish all of these things!
Members of the Jayhawk Collegiate League include: Derby Twins, Great Bend Bat Cats, Haysville Aviators, Hutchinson Monarchs, Kansas Cannons, Kingman Islanders, and Newton Rebels.
